All the food is perfect; the decorations are just right but what party games are there that will add to an occasion? Well a lot of that decision hinges on the number of guests and how much room there is to work within.
Party games for an outdoor summer party can be very rowdy and active. Old fashioned games are perfect for Independence Day celebrations. Some Historic music and old fashioned toys can be used. Yard games like horse shoes and bad mitten are fine for older children and adults. Modern theme parties can utilize the swimming pool or tennis courts along with quieter games like charades.
There really aren’t many limits to the kinds of party games that can be used when space is unlimited and weather is perfect. But when this isn’t the case perhaps an apartment complex will have a party house that can be rented. They often have facilities that include folding tables and chairs so that bingo is easily organized. Simple games like guessing games and musical chairs are fine. Even adults like party games that are themed to the occasion.

For those who are not professional party coordinators party ideas may be difficult to come up with. There is help available from many sources.
Party ideas can be gleaned from magazines, the internet or just from friends. Party ideas can also come from the guest of honor who may have some desires of his or her own.
Party ideas for those who are celebrating a hall mark birthday at the 21st or 100th year will have a decidedly different focus. The sentiment will be the same but the dancing will be dissimilar. It is very important to take the individual wishes of the guest of honor into consideration in both cases though. A clam bake on the beach may be perfect for the 21-year-old but whether that takes a retro sixties theme or just the use of contemporary favorites is to be discussed beforehand.
The 100-year-old might like the beach party decorations but indoors at the retirement center might be a better location and a short afternoon party will allow for everyone’s nap. The occasion might be more important to the guests but the guest of honor will probably benefit from brevity.
The tone and complexity of the party ideas is determined not just by the age of the participants but also from the nature of the occasion. A children’s Easter party is given the greatest of importance by the child but may be overshadowed by other adult demands of the season. It may be necessary to simplify the party ideas that the child has for his occasion so that more attention is given to cooking Easter dinner. Common sense is required here.
Party ideas may need to be more elaborate than the guest of honor originally requests. It may be proper to nudge the couple toward a more involved wedding.

Many hosts find that they have a hard time deciding on the right party favor to give out at their party. I wonder if that topic ever came up prior to the marriage. What could be next? Hey, I don’t like the length of your hair … get a haircut!

If all of the bickering stated above between Nicole and Keith is true, perhaps it’s a good thing if she is not. And it makes you wonder doesn’t it that if you’ve signed several multi-million dollar film contracts, why would one pursue trying to get pregnant anyhow? She has 5 movies slated for production in the next few months.
6. Even a married man can’t resist kissing 2 sisters from outside of Albany. That’s what Keith did at a recent outdoor concert when he spotted their sign. He replied, 2 sisters, 2 wishes, 2 kisses! … Well, come on up. I’m not going to miss this opportunity. Keith has been headlining and selling out several venues over the past few weeks including the Syracuse State Fair and the Crawford County Fair in Pennsylvania.
7. Keith will be returning to Australia in Oct for the Australian Recording Industry Association Awards. Talk about staying power, Be Here from 2004 has sold double platinum in Australia and is still number 3 on the ARIA country charts. And his first 1999 solo Keith Urban and 2002’s Golden Road, are still both in the Country Top 20 in Australia.

It was free until Sep 2004 and now is only searchable via subscription … but many public libraries will get you into the database for free .. right from your home. Check with your local library if this resource would be of interest to you.
11. A Computer Tip Before We Go … Did you know that the inside of your computer should be cleaned every few months. How you may ask? With compressed air. Ensure the system is shut down .. unplug the cables … remove the side panel and with the tower standing upright, hold the compressed air can vertically and spray the entire surface of your motherboard and power supply fan and any other USB plugs etc where dust can gather.
It’s important to do this in a well ventilated area such as outside on a balcony or deck. And don’t tip the compressed air upside down or water will spray out of it (that’s not good). Just keep the can vertical and blow out the dust, as it causes heat to build up inside your computer. 6-8 good sprays for 5-10 sec each should do it.

Sweet dreams are laced with thoughts of gifts and prizes. Not a day goes by in the life of a child without the bewildering wish for things that they don’t have. The situation is exacerbated when adults send them to birthday parties carrying gifts intended for someone else who is getting many such things.
That is why the perfect birthday party includes gifts and prizes for the enjoyment of all the guests. These can include certificates, ribbons or small toys. Keeping the age of the party guests in mind it may be possible to award music CD’s from the bargain table or similar nicer but not expensive things.
Children of elementary school age or younger, are really thrilled by a prize won in a simple game of skill or chance. The gifts and prizes for these need not be extravagant or elaborate. It needs only be the sort of thing that gives the imagination of a child room for expression. Young girls love fruit scented perfumes in tiny bottles. Young boys love to collect tiny toy cars in a variety of styles.
The activities can be even simpler than games. The gifts and prizes can be sealed in goody bags and placed in a toy box or other receptacle. Guests could then draw numbers from a hat or fish bowl. The guests could then go in order of higher to lower, for instance, to pick out a grab bag.
Prizes and gifts might be part of a scavenger hunt. Give guests a list of things to find in the recreation room or yard that have numbers on the bottom that correspond to items used as gifts and prizes. Make sure that no two lists are in the same order so that everyone doesn’t head to the same item at the same time.

Many hosts find that they have a hard time deciding on the right party favor to give out at their party. Sometimes they just can?t decide on the party favor they like best, sometimes the ideas just fly out of their heads when it comes time. There are also a lot of in-between problems that can cause small annoying difficulties with picking out party favors.
Its best to peruse the many different kinds of party gifts there are, so that you have the most information at your disposal when you make your choice. There are lots of party favors out there. You?ll find simple items like personalized pencils, pens, beads and glow sticks are cheaper, but they aren?t very big and won?t fill in a loot bag very much. Other gifts like wrap around sunglasses and fuzzy dice work well for a summer event while being of a good size for a party favor. Then there are the larger party favor items. These are the feather boas, and party hats of the party gift arena.
Guests just love the whole loot bag idea because they get lots of little items that kind of add up to one big item. You can also save money by putting together a loot bag, because it?s easy to fill with mostly candy or cookies. Mix up the loot bag selection a little by filling the loot bags with different kinds of items or with items in different numbers.
Also pick out party favors that match up with your party theme. If you are having a casino parties then get some decks of cards and dice to put in your guests bags. A Halloween party or Fourth of July party loot bag can benefit from the addition of glow sticks, bracelets, and necklaces. Even the bag that your favors go into can match up with the theme. Black or orange for Halloween, and Red, White or Blue for Independence Day.

1. For those of you in the UnCasville, Conn area, Keith will perform at Mohegan Sun Arena on 20th Oct 06. If you can still get a ticket that is. They went on sale 1 Sep 06 at Ticketmaster for $65-$85.
2. Mark your calendar for 6th Nov 06 for the 40th Annual CMA Awards which will be returning to Nashville this year. If you recall, the event was held last year in NYC. You can catch the show on ABC.
3. I’m not sure how true this rumor is but supposedly Nicole is trying to persuade Keith to shave off his facial hair. Apparently she finds it irritating to her face. I wonder if that topic ever came up prior to the marriage. What could be next? Hey, I don’t like the length of your hair … get a haircut!

5. Nicole’s rep, Cathrine Olim is insisting that Kidman is not pregnant, again. What if it turns out that she is lying? How does one get around that with the press? Olim claims that a recent pic of Nicole was digitally altered to make her look pregnant. The rep said that Nicole wouldn’t be ?shooting a film, traveling to Rome for another film, then shooting another film if she were? (pregnant).
If all of the bickering stated above between Nicole and Keith is true, perhaps it’s a good thing if she is not. And it makes you wonder doesn’t it that if you’ve signed several multi-million dollar film contracts, why would one pursue trying to get pregnant anyhow? She has 5 movies slated for production in the next few months.
6. Even a married man can’t resist kissing 2 sisters from outside of Albany. That’s what Keith did at a recent outdoor concert when he spotted their sign. He replied, 2 sisters, 2 wishes, 2 kisses! … Well, come on up. I’m not going to miss this opportunity. Keith has been headlining and selling out several venues over the past few weeks including the Syracuse State Fair and the Crawford County Fair in Pennsylvania.
7. Keith will be returning to Australia in Oct for the Australian Recording Industry Association Awards. Talk about staying power, Be Here from 2004 has sold double platinum in Australia and is still number 3 on the ARIA country charts. And his first 1999 solo Keith Urban and 2002’s Golden Road, are still both in the Country Top 20 in Australia.

9. And finally, Once in a Lifetime, Keith’s new single from his upcoming Nov release, made history on Billboards 62 year history by debuting at No. 17 … the highest ever. Eddie Rabbit had Every Which Way But Loose debut at No. 18 in 1978 and Garth Brooks also had a No. 18 debut with Good Ride Cowboy in 2005.
10. Do You Google? Here is a Google Tip - If you’re a World Information hound, the The World Biographical Index (http://www.saur-wbi.de/) may be for you. This is one of the world’s authorities of information about people, biographies and other cool facts dating all the way back as far as 1559.
It was free until Sep 2004 and now is only searchable via subscription … but many public libraries will get you into the database for free .. right from your home. Check with your local library if this resource would be of interest to you.
11. A Computer Tip Before We Go … Did you know that the inside of your computer should be cleaned every few months. How you may ask? With compressed air. Ensure the system is shut down .. unplug the cables … remove the side panel and with the tower standing upright, hold the compressed air can vertically and spray the entire surface of your motherboard and power supply fan and any other USB plugs etc where dust can gather.
It’s important to do this in a well ventilated area such as outside on a balcony or deck. And don’t tip the compressed air upside down or water will spray out of it (that’s not good). Just keep the can vertical and blow out the dust, as it causes heat to build up inside your computer. 6-8 good sprays for 5-10 sec each should do it.
