Scene Setters The Perfect Backdrop, for the Perfect Party!

Posted by User Imageadmin on December 4, 2008

Scene setters are a wonderful way to create atmosphere at any party, and develop the theme of the party. Scene setters are available at party supply stores, in department stores, or online. Some are elaborate, and some are simple. Scene setters can be made from something as simple as a cardboard refrigerator box, and are limited only by your imagination. If you are not artistically inclined, chances are you know someone who is, and most ‘crafty’ people are more than willing to craft for those who are craft impaired.

Whether you set out to cut Styrofoam tombstones sponged with gray and black paint, reading “R.I.P” for Halloween, or pile up bales of hay, stuff old pants, shirts, or overalls with leaves, and top it with a hat to create a scarecrow, pile pumpkins high, and heap pots with fall colored mums, to create an autumn scene setter, chances are, with just a little inspiration, you can come up with the perfect way to complete the look you are after.

As with any other party detail, you must consider the theme and guests at the party. Colorful pi

We needed a pink stroller to keep our little one happy.

This stroller does have one draw back that I can see - no shoulder straps. Not a major issue for us as our daughter is older now. Other than that I have been quite happy with our purchase. After having a few kids I didn’t want a heavy, clunky stroller to store and drag around. This one has worked well for us and the quality was a bit better than what can be purchased in the stores, not to mention the color. The storage was just as good as other models and we didn’t have any issues with drink bottles in the fabric compartments.

I love this stroller! It has enough storage for short trips, an adjustable canopy that protects my little one from the sun, and steers like strollers that cost twice as much.

I was unsure if the handlebar storage would really be helpful — it looked flimsy in the product photographs — but it holds a water bottle for my toddler and myself with ease, and holds my sunglasses, keys and papers when needed.

Don’t spend $100 plus for a similar stroller from a different brand. This one is too good to pass up.

This is a great lightweight stroller that folds compactly. I bought the "plus" model that has adjustable handles. I am tall so most umbrella strollers were hard to push. The adjustable handles on this model make it much easier for me. The storage compartments are very handy - not very large - but big enough to put a few small bags. There is a drink holder and a place for your keys/sunglasses which is great. Overall, the price of the stroller was very reasonable, it is much lighter and folds much smaller than my graco stroller and still has some storage, so I think it is a great buy.

This stroller is well worth the money. Even someone 6′3 can easily use it. It is light enough to easily take through the airport. Portability of a small stroller but feel like a full size.

My 15 month old daughter LOVES this stroller. It’s very comfortable for her and she likes the colors. She immediately wanted to sit in it with her dolls as soon as we took it out of the box and it was hard to get her out of it!! For me, it’s very easy to push, lots of storage room and extras. The only thing that I could want would be some kind of cup holder for her but for the price, this is a really great buy! I definately would recommend to a friend!

Piano Artistry Painting Pictures Of Sound In The Ear

Posted by User Imageadmin on December 4, 2008

Do you appreciate a simple beam of light shining on the side walk, or imagine how a photograph will look as you frame your subject in the camera?s lens and snap the picture? If so you have the creative gift of observation. Piano artists learn to observe with their ear.

Piano sheet music is no more than ink blots on paper. So how does a professional pianist or a piano student transform this into a beautiful picture of sound? The same way a painter does, with brushes! Yep, there are lots of different brushes available to a pianist, as well as hues of color. Piano artistry includes a palette of playing styles, rhythms and techniques to tell and illustrate musical stories.

Music always has a story to tell. The Russian Sailor Dance for example is a traditional physical endurance test sailors perform to music in a minor key. It has a steady march beat famous for repeated notes. It?s not a happy tune, but it helps sailors impress girls with their physical strength. It?s the one where they bend their knees and kick out one foot at a time to the music with their arms crossed over their chests. Get the picture? It?s awesome! Now imagine military Muscovites in Red Square performing their traditional dance to a waltz. It just wouldn?t produce the same affect! Outraged Russians girls would protest. ?Hey mates, what gives? If we were impressed by a waltz, we’d marry dancing bears!?

Pianists and other musicians tell stories illustrated with music that has the power to bring history back to life and touch the hearts of people everywhere. Just imagine what the movie Star Wars would be like without music?

If you?re a piano student who wants to play with more artistry and style, ask ?What?s the story that I?m trying to tell with this piece of music? Am I conveying the right picture? How could I get this message across to an audience more clearly?? Experiment with different playing styles and techniques until you find the one that tells the story best. Remember you?re not just the piano player. You?re also the artist and the director. Learn to observe with your ear and snap the right picture!
